We are giving away the first two chilling cold cases in a DVD and book competition!
To celebrate the digital release of The Absent One on iTunes this month, we are offering one lucky winner the chance to take home the first two chapters of the crime fiction franchise, adapted from best-selling author Jussi Adler-Olsen: The Keeper of Lost Causes on DVD and The Absent One novel, which is also known on the UK bookshelves as Disgrace.
Carl Mørck (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) is back to breathe new life into the seemingly solved cases of the past with partner Assad (Fares Fares) but where did it all begin? From the infamous annals of Department Q – we bring you The Keeper of Lost Causes (2013) and The Absent One (2014).
The Keeper of Lost Causes (‘Kvinden I Buret’)
Based on the first novel in the Department Q series, detective Carl Mørck is a troubled cop. After an assignment goes severely wrong, Mørck is demoted to investigating the department’s cold cases when he returns to duty. Sent to the depths of the furthest reaches of the police, he is put behind a desk and out of the way to his contempt. Here, he forms an unlikely alliance with a new partner, Assad, who reopen an investigation into a missing politician.
The Absent One (‘Disgrace’)
The duo returns to sift through over fifty brand new/old cases when a former Chief Inspector approaches Mørck about a twenty-year-old double homicide that has been covered up. Still the butt of the police force’s joke, ‘Department Q’ is far from taken seriously, despite their previous success story. When his informant is found dead, Mørck makes it his top priority to find out the truth behind the brutal murder of two teenagers; luring him to the alumni of a prestigious boarding school.
To win the Department Q DVD and book bundle, all you need to do is answer the following question correctly:
Which 2015 film, helmed by Easy Money director Daniel Espinosa, co-stars both Fares Fares and Nikolaj Lie Kaas in contrasting roles to their unlikely Department Q duo of Mørck and Assad?
a) A Second Chance
