Released on DVD on Monday is the latest feature from Danish filmmaker Mikkel Nørgaard, The Keeper of Lost Causes (2013). This dark and gritty mystery crime thriller sees police inspector Carl Mørck (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) put in charge of a department of cold cases after a fatal accident on a previous job. Joined by his budding assistant Assad (Fares Fares), Carl becomes obsessed with a high-profile case concerning a young female politician who disappeared while travelling aboard a ferry. In his attempt to dig deeper, Carl begins to realise that his pursuit of answers begins to uncover things that are best left hidden.
