What Not to Miss at Nordicana 2015!

The Troxy theatre is set to immerse audiences in an all-inclusive Nordic experience

With the abundance of stars from critically acclaimed TV series The Killing, The Bridge, The Legacy, 1864 and Jordskott it is easy to be mesmerised by such an awe-inspiring line-up that is guaranteed to satisfy die-hard fans. However, to compliment the enticing Q&A’s and screenings on offer throughout the weekend, guests attending Nordicana: Nordic Noir & Beyond Live 2015 can also enjoy the finer things of Scandinavian life by venturing into the White Room and beyond.

Expert author Barry Forshaw leads a panel discussing ‘The Origins of Nordic Noir’ with fellow authors Sarah Ward, Quentin Bates and Jakob Stougaard-Nielsen. Producer of the Danish political drama Borgen Camilla Hammerich will be talking about the launch of her new book The Borgen Experience, which she will also be available for signings. The Department of Scandinavian Studies will be on hand to add a bit of social historical background to the Nordic series, with The Bridge Briefing: The Culture, Language and Architecture behind the hit BBC Four series, as well as Remembering 1864: Danish and German Perspectives – the theme of the DR series which is currently taking UK audiences by storm BBC Four.

Be sure to get in line in The Nordicana Signing Room which welcomes the stars from the Main Stage: The Legacy’s Trine Dyrholm, Marie Bach Hansen and Jesper Christensen, Sofia Helin from The Bridge, Moa Gammel from Jordskott, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Marie Tourell Søderberg, Jakob Oftebro, Jens Sætter-Lassen and Søren Malling from 1864 as well as Sofie Gråbøl from Fortitude and The Killing.
