“Gritty” – Metro

“The gripping French drama that has taken the UK by storm” – The Sun

Braquo follows a group of police agents: Eddie Caplan (Jean-Hugues Anglade), Walter Morlighem (Joseph Malerba), Theo Wachevski (Nicolas Duvauchelle), and Roxane Delgado (Karole Rocher). Each operates on the very edge of the law in the inner suburbs of Paris. From the first season, they are teamed up in the wake of a colleague’s death after being wrongly convicted. This sparks the elite group to conspire and incorporate brutal methods of coercion, misconduct, and ultimately breaking their moral code as they fight crime with crime in order to exact their own brand of justice.

The fourth season unites Caplan and his squad with their nemesis, “Baba” Aroudji. As the chase continues, the stakes rise even higher on par with nail-biting tension when Vogel (Geoffroy Thiébaut) reveals their colleague Delgado has been buried alive. In their final outing on screen, can the team combat Aroudji, save Delgrado in time, and go out with a controversial bang? Under the scrutiny of the Police Authorities, this is easier said than done. However, we have established that Caplan and his comrades are not your typical law enforcers.

Braquo is co-written and created by lead actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker Olivier Marchal, who is best known for writing and directing the multi-award-winning crime drama, 36 Quai des Orfèvres (Department 36). He has also recently appeared on our screens in Suburra, directed by Gomorrah and Romanzo Criminale filmmaker Stefano Sollima. Braquo has been praised by critics and viewers alike and is one of the highest-rated shows in France.

If you have enjoyed Gomorrah and The Border, we recommend you continue venturing Beyond into Euro Noir territory with Braquo if you are not hooked on the series already.

Braquo: Complete Series Four is available to buy through Nordic Noir & Beyond from Monday 12th December.
