Find out how the Chief of Police got on with his online interrogation this week!

From 6pm (UK time) on Monday 11th April, to coincide with the release of Trapped on DVD and Blu-ray, the Icelandic star took to the Nordic Noir & Beyond Facebook page. Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (or Darri for short) broadcasted live to the fans of the show and answered any burning questions – from insights into filming Trapped to what the actor is up to next!

Take a closer look at Nordic Noir & Beyond on Facebook here.

From director Baltasar Kormákur, who brought us Everest (2015) and The Deep (2012), Trapped has created quite a stir following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) last year and with UK audiences when it reached our screens on BBC Four in February. We decided to bring the Chief of Police Andri a bit closer to connect with the flurry of fans on Facebook!

Here are just some of the kind of questions fans of the show put to the actor:

Q: How hard was it filming in all that snow??!!

A: It wasn´t easy but not much good comes from easy.

Q: Will there be a second series of Trapped?

A: I really hope that most of us will be able to come back to the series…

Q: How about the current political situation in Iceland? Season 2??? Great Job!!

A: The political situation over here is very interesting. Let´s hope something good comes out of the Panama papers leak, it is important I think that politicians hold themselves to a high standard or even just be truthful and honest…

Q: What are your favourite British TV shows? Have you ever been to Scotland?

A: My favourites at this moment are Broadchurch and Happy Valley. I have only been to Scotland once, to Glasgow for a premiere. Hoping to come to the Edinburgh Festival soon though!

We hope you enjoyed getting to know the man behind Andri and can wait to find out more news on a second series in the near future!
