The Hour Of The Lynx released on DVD


Sofie Gråbøl has been dominating the Nordic Noir news front recently. Whether she is wowing theatre audiences as Queen Margaret of Denmark in The James Plays or teasing us with clips from her new show Fortitude, The Killing star is seemingly everywhere at the moment and her new thriller The Hour Of The Lynx is released on DVD today.

Gråbøl stars as Helen, a devout priest, who is contacted by Lisbeth (Signe Egholm Olsen), a scientist in desperate search of help. Lisbeth has recently been caring for a violent and unpredictable young man who has been incarcerated in a high security psychiatric facility after he murdered an elderly couple. Following two attempted suicides the young man begins to mutter words about his personal connection with God. Intrigued and shocked by the mystery the two women, from opposing worlds, begin a dark journey into the mind and past of a truly troubled individual.

Directed by the acclaimed Danish filmmaker Søren Kragh-Jacobsen and also starring Søren Malling, Lia Boysen and Börje Ahlstedt, The Hour Of The Lynx is a gripping psychological thriller that is guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat.
