After fans were treated to an exhibition of The Bridge at The Malmö Museer in Malmö, Swedish – which included iconic props, clothing and even Saga’s infamous Porsche – invited audiences finally received what many have been waiting for: the first look at The Bridge season three.
Following the tense series finale at the end of season The Bridge continues its odyssey with unorthodox and sturdy police investigator Saga Norén (Sofia Helin) as she attempts to continue her unconventional life as a member of the Swedish police force. With a new murder case to investigate, the third season of the crime series is proving to be one of the ones to watch on television this coming Autumn season.
Invited viewers were given an exclusive first-look at the first two episodes of The Bridge season three earlier this week. The premiere took place at the Clarion Hotel & Congress Malmö Live in the Swedish city with the Malmö Choir of Young Believers in attendance for a special performance. In addition, the cast and crew of the series also attended the event including Sofia Helin who joined new cast members Thure Lindhardt and Maria Kalle as well as writer and creator Hans Rosenfeldt. Rosenfeldt was keen to inform us that he was very confident that he was excited to return to his diverse characters as well as introduce new ones affirming that the third season will most definitely will live up to audiences’ expectations.
It is safe to say that we here at Nordic Noir give the verdict that The Bridge is back and better than ever with exciting new characters and classic noir Norén: fans will not be disappointed.
