The Danish star will be attending the festival to celebrate the international sensation of Nordic Noir.
The annual Nordic Noir experience will treat loyal fans with the appearance of one of the genres most revered leading women at this year’s Nordicana in London.
Sofie Gråbøl is best known for her role as detective Sarah Lund in The Killing (2007-2012), the suspense thriller which spearheaded the rise of the Nordic Noir movement on the small screen. Her relentless determination and iconic costume of Faroese knitted jumpers created a ground-breaking Nordic heroine which others are compared to.
As well as starring in the crime drama The Hour of the Lynx (2013) with Søren Malling (The Killing and Borgen, 2010-2013), Gråbøl has recently returned to our television screens with Sky Atlantic’s Fortitude. The mystery series has hybridised the Nordic Noir element into an international television event to further prove how prolific the genre has become.
Nordicana 2015 takes place from 6th – 7th June at The Troxy in London’s East End.
