Join us to praise the victors of Danish cinema and television as they take their bows of glory!

At the Robert Prisen Awards in 2015, the triumphant victors that took home the aspiring accolades were Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac: Vol. I & II (2013) and DR’s The Legacy I (2014), in film and television respectively. With the Oscar nomination for Tobias Lindholm’s A War, the controversial drama put forward for Academy Award contention may have seemed the likely candidate to be recognised for Best Danish Film. However, the Danish Film Academy proudly announced another portrayal of a powerful period of combat. Martin Zandvliet’s WWII saga Land of Mine swept the stage with 6 wins: Best Film, Director, Original Screenplay, Cinematography, Editing and claiming Blockbuster Audience Award.

In television, the Grønnegaard clan celebrated by leading the ceremony once again and held their astounding title with the top 5 trophies, including Best Danish TV series. Not only were stars Trine Dyrholm (also winning Best Actress in film for Long Story Short, 2015), Carsten Bjørnlund and Lene Maria Christensen recognised for the same roles from the ground-breaking first season of the show, distinguished actor and series director Jesper Christensen took Best Supporting Actor. The second season of The Legacy beat new nominees Heartless and Norskov and the fantastic return of The Bridge III.
