Kim Bodnia, who we know and love as Martin Rohde from The Bridge, will be crossing the Atlantic for his next role, which will see him rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
The Danish actor will be appearing alongside Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in Susanne Bier’s Serena, based upon Ron Rash’s 2008 novel and set in North Carolina during the great depression. Cooper and Lawrence play George and Serena Pemberton a couple who move to the East Coast state where they intend to create a timber empire.
While Bodnia’s role has not yet been revealed, we do know that he will be joined by another Nordic star – David Dencik. The Swedish actor is best known to Nordic Noir fans for his roles in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2009), A Royal Affair (2012) and episodes of The Killing, Wallander and The Protectors.
