Taking place in Reykjavik, Iceland this weekend is Iceland Noir, the Scandinavian nations premiere festival of crime fiction. From Thursday evening right through to Sunday, the festival will celebrate some of the countries best crime writers as well as others from Finland, Norway, Sweden, Britain and America.
Featured authors include Peter James, David Hewson, Johan Theorin, Vidar Sundstol and Antti Tuomainen, who will all be talking their latest projects and career to date. Other events include discussions on Scottish noir, crime writing workshops, crime fiction around the globe and a look at supernatural crime fiction. There will also be chance to take in the finest in local food and drink and the chance to experience some authentic Icelandic jazz.
