Hans Rosenfeldt, the creator of The Bridge, has revealed that the eagerly anticipated third season, will have a considerably lower body count than its predecessor.During an interview with the Radio Times, the writer revealed that he felt there were “too many” deaths in Season 2, with the grand total amassing at 37. “I think the last season’s body count was up to like 37, it was something around that, ridiculously high” states Rosenfeldt.
Details about the new season are still being kept under wraps but we do know that it will see Saga Norén (Sofia Helin) joining up with a new team of detectives who are investigating a much smaller crime than before. It will also explore more of the enigmatic character’s back story and her family.
We are going to have to wait a while to see this all develop though as The Bridge 3 isn’t set to be broadcast in Scandinavia until September next year, which could mean that it won’t arrive in the UK till early 2016.
