The latest novel from acclaimed Scandinavian author Håkan Nesser will be available to buy at Nordicana 2015.
The Living and the Dead in Winsford follows a married woman who arrives in Winsford, Exmoor after fleeing Stockholm and its stream of bad memories. But as she settles into her new life, she discovers that Winsford is not as it seems with its desolate moors and eerie nightlight.
Nesser is renowned in the Scandi fiction world for his acclaimed novels such as The Mind’s Eye and Woman with Birthmark of the Inspector Van Veeteren series. He has received a number of awards over the years including Glass Key Award and Best Swedish Crime Novel Award.
The Living and the Dead in Winsford will be available to buy for Nordic Noir fans exclusively at Nordicana ahead of its UK release next month as well as other discussions with writers such as Barry Forshaw and academics of Nordic Noir.
This is only one of the highlights of the Nordicana festival with Q&As with The Bridge’s Sofia Helin, stars of The Legacy and the cast of latest Danish sensation 1864 as well as exclusive screenings of upcoming series.
