Watch the season two trailer here.

If you haven’t had a chance to catch up with the new season, here are some reasons why it is truly unmissable for any Euro Noir fan:

The Sunday Times recently described Gomorrah as: “small-screen best-of, borrowing The Wire’s drug-dealing, Breaking Bad’s drug-making, Game of Throne’s family strife and The Sopranos’ gangsters to make something gripping that looks, flatly, fantastic.”The Guardian has also coined Gomorrah as “the ultimate Mafia show” with “plot shocks and gratuitous killing” which kept us on the edge-of-our seat for each tense and unpredictable episode.

The rave reviews from the critics praise that second chapter of the saga:

“F****** Hell! #Gomorra could be the TV series of the decade” – Ricky Gervais on Twitter

Gomorrah is brilliant” – The Sunday Times

“Epic Italian drama” – The Sunday Express

“A dazzling success” – ⋆⋆⋆⋆ The Daily Telegraph

The gritty Italian crime drama depicting modern mob culture is based on Roberto Saviano’s infamous account of the “Camorra” syndicate and stars Fortunato Cerlino, Marco D’Amore and Salvatore Esposito. Following on from the dramatic finale of season one, Ciro Di Marzio (D’Amore); the young, right-hand man of Don Pietro Savastano (Cerlino) has risen in the ranks of the clan and is leading an alliance to take control of the city. Don Pietro and his son Genny Savastano (Esposito) find that the young prodigy is now their fierce opposition, as they furtively try to reclaim their prestige over north Naples.
