Catch a glimpse of the Borgen star on location in the new international thriller from the creator of The Da Vinci Code
Following her career-defining role as Denmark’s Prime Minister Birgitte Nyborg in DR’s political drama Borgen (2010-2013), Sidse Babett Knudsen continues her success as Dr. Elizabeth Sinskey – the leader of the World Health Organisation in Inferno; the latest big screen adventure that sees Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon bridging science and faith with explosive results.
An exclusive cast and crew photo has been released during filming in Italy, with Florence’s cathedral standing supremely in the background. Knudsen is pictured alongside her talented international co-stars. From left to right: Tom Hanks, who reprises his role as Langdon from The Da Vinci Code (2006) and Angels & Demons (2009), director and producer Ron Howard, Omar Sy (who plays Christoph Bouchard), author of Inferno Dan Brown and actress Felicity Jones (as Dr. Sienna Brooks).
In the meantime, Knudsen will be appearing on our screens this weekend on Saturday 16th May at 9pm for the BBC Four premiere of historical Danish drama 1864, directed by Ole Bornedal.
Inferno is due to be released in cinemas on October 14th2016.
