Malmö Museum showcases The Bridge ahead of the new season premiere
From 14th September fans of the show were treated to an exhibition in Malmö; the Swedish city made famous by brilliant Nordic Noir heroine Saga Norén.
Audiences have waited with eager anticipation following the dramatic second season finale which saw the controversial departure of Danish detective Martin Rohde, played by Kim Bodnia. Now, as the third season is set to air on SVT screens on 27th September, the award-winning crime series has been the talk of Malmö with a host of special events taking place in the municipality.
The Malmö Museer is located in Malmöhusvägen and boasts to be the largest museum in Southern Sweden. The impressive venue is complete with an aquarium, U3 submarine and a wonderfully preserved Renaissance Malmöhus Castle to commemorate its Swedish heritage.
On display at the museum, iconic props from the previous seasons of The Bridge, including Saga’s costume and the classic Porsche driven by the idiosyncratic character, can be browsed by its passionate patrons.
Residents and visitors to the city can also take their fandom even further and discover an immersive experience with a guided tour of the locations featured in The Bridge.
Following the first and second episode premiere of The Bridge III at Clarion Hotel & Congress Malmö Live yesterday, UK audiences must wait a little bit longer to witness the phenomenal crime series on BBC Four this autumn.
