Danish drama ‘The Spider’ released on Monday

Fans of The Killing and 1864? Well, Danish mini-series The Spider (Edderkoppen) is the perfect mix of crime and history as it comes to DVD on Monday 15th June 2015.

The Spider follows a young and enthusiastic reporter, Bjarne Madsen (Jakob Cedergren), in post-war Copenhagen 1949 who learns of the organised crime that is unravelling in the Danish capital. The Spider was originally released on Danish television back in 2000 to rave reviews and is now available to own on DVD for the first time. The series features a few familiar faces – including The Killing co-stars Lars Mikkelsen and Bjarne Henriksen, as well as The Legacy‘s Trine Dyrholm – and is directed by Ole Christian Madsen (Flame and Citron, 2008).
