One of Nordic Noir’s most beloved and talked about shows, The Bridge, returned to British television screens earlier in the year to a euphoric reception. The second series of the gripping Danish/Swedish crime series saw Saga and Martin investigating a group of eco-terrorists who are claiming responsibility for a horrific accident that took place aboard a container ship.
The series continued the unusual and intriguing relationship between Martin and Saga, which concluded in a shocking finale. Season 3 of the series is currently being filmed but we will not be seeing Kim Bodnia return as Martin. Instead the third season will take a new approach and see the complicated Saga join up with a new team, who will no doubt be confused by her unusual approach to police work. We’ll have to wait a bit though as the third season won’t be hitting our screens till 2016.
