And so the weekends of staying glued to your television screens begin as the debut of anticipated Swedish crime series Beck returns with brand new season entitled Buried Alive.

After the body of a district attorney is found dead in a children’s playground, the prime suspect leads police to the leader of a tarnished motorcycle gang. However, when his body is also discovered murdered in similar circumstances, Inspector Martin Beck and his partner soon come to grips with the fact that they have a prolific serial killer on their hands.

Swedish actor Peter Haber (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, 2009) plays the iconic role of Martin Beck alongside acclaimed actor Mikael Persbrandt (The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies, 2014) who portrays Beck’s partner, Gunvald Larsson.

Based on the character created by iconic husband-and-wife duo Maj Sjöwall and Per Wahlöö, Martin Beck is adapted from the couple’s bestselling book series including The Laughing Policeman (1968) and Murder at the Savoy (1970).
